Wildball

A free multiplayer football game in your browser whose rules change every match. outlol's third game, beside football and foosball: the same pitch, the same two buttons.

Wildball was built by an AI agent, in the open. A new version went out every hour, on the hour, on 4 October 2026, from 03:00 to midnight Turkey time, and then development ended. The game plays on as it stands. Everything below is the log of what changed and when.

Play with friends at Foundry Wildball or practise alone against bots. You can also make a Wildball field of your own: open the world, choose Create a field, and pick Wildball. Türkçe.

Mutations

Every match draws one of these, and about one match in four draws two at once; the newest comes up twice as often. A room's host can also pick one for every match in the room.

Suggest a mutation

Have a rule you would like to play under? Open the world, choose Send feedback from the menu and describe it. Suggestions are read, and the log says when one becomes a mutation.

Wildball is free to play and free to host, like the rest of outlol. Every Wildball stadium carries the same surfaces as a football one: the centre circle, four hoardings, four stands and the stadium wrap, each sold by open auction from $2. How advertising works.

Questions people ask

What is Wildball?

Wildball is a free multiplayer football game in the browser, made by outlol, whose rules change every match. It is outlol's third game, beside football and foosball: football on the same pitch, with the same two buttons, but every match is played under a mutation, such as three balls at once, ice or a wind across the pitch, twelve in all. The kick-off says which one you got. A Wildball field plays first to 5 in 3 minutes unless its host sets other limits.

How do I play Wildball with friends?

Open the world and go to Foundry Wildball, the house's Wildball pitch, or choose Create a field and pick Wildball, then send the link. Friends join from their phones or computers, with no install and no account.

Can I play Wildball alone?

Yes. Wildball practice, at https://outlol.bid/wildball/play, puts you against bots, one to four a side, in the browser with no install and no account.

Who made Wildball?

An AI agent built Wildball in the open on 4 October 2026, releasing a new version every hour, on the hour, from 03:00 to midnight Turkey time. This page logs what changed in each one. Development has ended; the game plays on as it stands.

Does Wildball have a leaderboard?

Yes. Open the world's leaderboard and choose Wildball: it keeps its own all-time record and its own season table, apart from football's and foosball's, for signed-in players. Its season is played for the standing alone, with no prize. It has kept one since the 10:00 UTC release on 4 October 2026; before that it kept none.

What changed, and when

· The last release: Wildball is finished

  • Development of Wildball ends here. It was built by an AI agent in the open on 4 October 2026: twenty-two releases, one every hour on the hour from 03:00 to midnight Turkey time, each written up in this log.
  • It plays on as it stands: twelve mutations, about one match in four drawing two at once, its own leaderboard and season table, Foundry Wildball on the globe's equator, a practice pitch against bots, in 2D and 3D, on a computer or a phone.
  • Pages, the game and this log now speak of its development in the past tense. Thank you for playing it while it was being made.

· Last checks before the close

  • The practice pitch remembers whether you turned the sound off.
  • A shared goal clip now names the rule its match was played under; before, only full replays did.
  • Under Multiball, holding the kick now strikes each ball as it comes into reach, not only the first.
  • Anyone watching a Wildball lobby now sees the rule its host chose, as the host does.

· Smooth for guests, and every rule explained in the game

  • A fix for anyone who joins a Wildball room rather than hosting it: your own player is now predicted by the match's rules. Under Rocket Boots, Ice or Mud it used to be predicted as in football and pulled back to where the host had it, every moment. Under Giant Ball the big ball no longer overlaps your player on your screen.
  • The Wildball log in the game now lists every mutation with what it does, under All mutations, and says how a match draws one: about one in four draws two at once. The room's intro and the Mutation setting say so too.
  • In the 3D view the ball that scored now wears the gold ring as well.
  • The practice pitch now shows each mutation the way a room does: the wind, Black Hole's pull, Mud and Ice on the grass, the streak of a light ball, the speed lines of Rocket Boots, the ring of a hard kick, and the gold ring of the ball that went in. A first visit shows the controls, for keys or for a thumb, and on a phone held sideways the rule fits on one line.
  • Search engines and AI assistants now read Wildball as a game of its own, with its own description, rather than as a line on outlol's page. Wildball's page answers whether you can play it alone, its address list for AI readers carries every mutation, and the practice pitch describes itself to them too.
  • If your device asks for less motion, the wind's chevrons and Black Hole's ring now stand still, still pointing the way the rule pushes.
  • The 3D view now shows the motion marks the flat view has: a light ball's streak, Rocket Boots' speed lines and the ring of a hard kick, kept off the centre circle.
  • A replay of a Wildball match now names the rule it was played under, and a practice score you share says the rule too.

· Bots that know the rules, a tie that plays on, and Wildball in Turkish

  • Practice bots, and the bots that fill a room, now read the ball by the match's rules: where Black Hole pulls it, how far it slides on Ice, how a wind bends it and how soon Mud stops it. They used to run to where a football would have gone. In a test, a bot that reads the rules beat one that does not by 26 goals over eight minutes under Black Hole, and by 10 under Ice.
  • When a goal goes in, the ball that scored now wears a gold ring through the celebration, so with three balls on the pitch you can see which one it was.
  • Full time now offers Challenge a friend: it sends your score, the rule you played under and a link to the room.
  • The kick-off's big word, the mutation's name, now wraps to fit the screen. Two mutations at once used to run off both edges, on a phone even a single long name did. On the match bar a pair now shows as its first name and +1, instead of being cut.
  • A Wildball goal clip's page now writes Wildball with its capital.
  • A fix: under Giant Ball no kick ever landed, for a player or a bot, because a ball twice the size kept its centre out of reach. A kick now reaches any ball as far from its edge as it reaches a football.
  • A fix: holding the kick button and running into a ball now kicks it, as it does in football. It used to only push it.
  • A fix: a Wildball host whose connection dropped during a paused match no longer comes back to a reset pitch with the score and the rule wiped.
  • The kick-off card no longer names the last match's rule for a moment, or a rule a guest's own screen drew, before the host's arrives.
  • A room now only accepts a mutation that exists, or two different ones together.
  • On a guest's screen under Ice, Mud or Pinball, the first ball now glides between the host's updates the way the others do, instead of drifting away from them.
  • On the practice pitch, a match tied when the clock runs out now plays on to a golden goal, as a room's does, instead of ending as a draw: the clock reads Overtime and the screen says the next goal wins.
  • Wildball's Turkish page is now linked as the Turkish version of the English one, with a language switch between them, and the Turkish pages point to it.
  • Sharing Wildball now says what it is: football whose rules mutate every match. An invite to a Wildball field names Wildball with its capital.
  • Feather Ball's line now says what it does: the ball weighs less than half as much.

· The page says how a mutation is drawn

  • Wildball's page, in English and in Turkish, now says what it left out: about one match in four draws two mutations at once, and a room's host can pick one for every match in the room.

· Kick-off rules, a fair clock, and overtime you can see

  • Wildball now plays football's kick-off: the side not kicking off stays out of the centre circle until the ball is played, and the circle is closed to both sides while a match opens. Until now either side could walk straight in.
  • The clock now stops while a goal is celebrated, in Wildball and in football and foosball too, so the seconds between a goal and the next kick-off no longer come off the match.
  • When a tied match runs out of time it goes on to a golden goal, and now says so: "Overtime: next goal wins" sweeps across the screen as large as the winner's call, and the clock reads overtime until the goal comes. This too holds for every game.
  • The opening film at the front door now shows Foundry Wildball rising beside the other house stadiums, violet-ringed, where the world then shows it.

· Mud and Ice in 3D

  • Mud and Ice now show in the 3D view as they do in the flat one: soft brown patches of mud in the same places, and pale streaks of sheen slanting across the ice. Both stay off the centre circle.

· A shorter log

  • The log in the game now opens on the three newest releases. Every earlier one is still there, under Earlier releases, a tap away, so the rule your match is under and what changed last are what you read first.

· Every rule you can see

  • No new mutation this hour: there are twelve now, and from here on new ones come at most once a day, while the hours go into making the game better to play.
  • The rules you could only read about now show on the pitch in the flat view. A light ball, in Feather Ball and Pinball, leaves a violet streak behind it. Under Rocket Boots, runners leave speed lines. Under Cannon and Pinball, a violet ring flies off a player the moment their kick lands. All of it keeps off the centre circle, which belongs to its sponsor.

· Pinball, and a welcome for first-timers

  • New mutation: Pinball. A light ball, a hard kick and nothing to slow it down. Hold on.
  • A Wildball room's menu now opens by saying what Wildball is: football whose rules mutate, built by an AI agent, with the version and when it last changed.
  • In the lobby, when the host leaves the mutation to chance, the pitch shows plain football and the button at the top names no rule: the next kick-off draws one. It used to show the last match's rule, which the next match would not keep.

· Mud, and Wildball everywhere the other games are

  • New mutation: Mud. The pitch is a bog: the ball dies in it, and so do your legs. You can see it: soft brown patches across the grass in the flat view.
  • Your profile now shows your Wildball record beside your football and foosball ones.
  • Choose Wildball in Create a field and the sheet says what Wildball is.
  • The About and How to play pages now name Wildball beside football and foosball, with a short section on how it plays, in English, Turkish and Spanish.

· Black Hole, and a pull you can see

  • New mutation: Black Hole. The centre spot pulls every ball towards it. Shoot hard, or watch it come back.
  • You can see the pull: a ring of violet chevrons on the grass just outside the centre circle points in and creeps inwards, in the flat view and in 3D. The circle itself stays clear for its sponsor.
  • Ice now shows on the pitch in the flat view: long pale streaks of sheen across the grass, so a frozen match looks frozen before anyone slides.
  • Foundry Wildball now stands on the globe's equator beside Foundry Football, where the house's other stadiums stand, instead of a row below them.
  • In the flat view the goal posts are drawn over Wildball's violet lines again, and the lines' glow no longer spills onto the boards round the pitch.
  • Wildball has a leaderboard: open the world's leaderboard and choose Wildball for its own all-time record and season table, apart from football's and foosball's. Signed-in players' matches count from this release on. Its season is played for the standing alone, with no prize.

· Feather Ball, and full time you can see

  • New mutation: Feather Ball. The ball weighs less than half as much: touch it and it flies.
  • A fix: when a Wildball match ended, the room's menu covered the full-time sheet, so the final score and Play again never showed. Full time now comes up over the menu, with the score, who won and Play again.
  • Full time now also says which mutation the match was played under, and what it did.

· Rocket Boots, and the ring in 3D

  • New mutation: Rocket Boots. Everybody runs half as fast again, the other side too.
  • In the 3D view every Wildball ball now has a violet ring on the grass under it, as in the flat view, so a tiny ball, or one of three, is still easy to find from behind your player.
  • A correction: Tiny Ball was first described, in its own release note above and on its page, as a third of the usual size. It is a little over half, and every place that describes it now says so.
  • On the map, close up, the dome's lattice now fades away, so its lines no longer cross the stadium's boards; from orbit on the globe the dome stands as before, and the violet ring with its three balls marks the stadium up close.
  • A Wildball field's card now says the mode is built by AI, hourly, where it used to repeat the game's name.
  • Narrow Goals' walls in the 3D view are now solid blocks with a glowing violet top, instead of see-through patches that were hard to read as walls.

· Tiny Ball, and the rule in plain sight

  • The rule your match is under is now always in sight: the Wildball button at the top of the match shows its name next to the version, all match long, instead of only inside the log.
  • The kick-off card now says the rule and what it does for the whole card, under the field's name, instead of flashing it at the very end. On a phone held sideways the card no longer runs the field's name into the team names.
  • In the match menu, the Mutation setting now says what the chosen rule does, or that Surprise me draws a new one each kick-off.
  • When the host picks a mutation in the lobby, the pitch shows it straight away, such as Multiball's three balls or Crosswind's wind, instead of the last match's leftovers.
  • New mutation: Tiny Ball. The ball shrinks to a little over half its size and it rolls on and on. Hard to see, harder to stop.
  • In the flat view every Wildball ball now wears a violet ring, and the ring never shrinks below a size you can follow, so even a tiny ball, or three of them, is easy to find on a phone.

· Narrow Goals, and the wind in 3D

  • New mutation: Narrow Goals. Violet walls close the outer part of both goal mouths, so only the middle is open. Pick your spot.
  • The wind now shows in the 3D view as well: violet chevrons on the grass just inside the touchlines, drifting the way the wind blows, as in the flat view.

· Cannon

  • New mutation: Cannon. Every kick is nearly twice as hard, so a shot from your own half can reach the net. Keep your head up.

· Crosswind, and wind you can see

  • New mutation: Crosswind. A wind blows across the pitch all match and bends every ball that is moving. Aim into it.
  • In the 2D view, a match under a wind now shows it: two lanes of violet chevrons just inside the touchlines drift the way the wind blows, so you can read it before your first kick.

· Ice, two mutations at once, and the dome

  • New mutation: Ice. The pitch has frozen: players slide and the ball rolls on and on.
  • A Wildball room's host can choose the mutation: in the match menu, under Mutation, pick Surprise me or any mutation that is out, and every match kicks off with it until the host changes it.
  • Every Wildball kick-off now says which version you are playing, that an AI agent builds it, and when it last changed, under the field's name.
  • From now on a quarter of matches draw two mutations at once, such as Multiball + Ice. The kick-off and the log in the HUD name both.
  • Wildball is now played under a dome. On the globe and on the map a violet lattice dome stands over every Wildball stadium, and in the 3D view you see it across a violet sky above the stands. It is lines only, so the pitch, the boards and the stands below keep their own colours.
  • On the globe, a Wildball stadium's bowl and roof take on a violet tint as well, and in the 2D view the dome's violet rim runs round the outside of the stands.

· Giant Ball, the log in the game, and a mark you can see from orbit

  • Wildball's log now lives in the game. On a Wildball match's HUD, the three-ball button with the version number opens it: who builds Wildball, which version you are playing, when it last changed, the rule your match is under, and every release in your own time. A Wildball field's card on the globe opens it too.
  • New mutation: Giant Ball. Some matches now kick off with a ball twice the size: harder to miss, and harder to stop.
  • Foundry Wildball's violet ring now circles the whole stadium on the globe, with its three balls riding on it, so it stands out from the football and foosball venues at a glance.
  • A fix, shipped at 01:20 UTC rather than waiting for the hour: Play now on the front page could send someone who wanted football into a Wildball match. It now only ever lands on football, as it promises.
  • Tap a Wildball field on the globe and its card says how many mutations a match can draw right now, and the newest one, with a link to this log.
  • Replays and goal clips of a Wildball match play back under the mutation the match was played under, instead of rolling a new one.
  • A Wildball link now unfurls with its own picture in chats and on social sites: a violet pitch with three balls on it, drawn in code.
  • Wildball has a page in Turkish, outlol.bid/tr/wildball, with its mutations and the questions people ask.
  • You can suggest a mutation: open the world, choose Send feedback, and describe the rule. This page now also says how Wildball pays for itself: its stadiums carry the same sponsor surfaces as football's.
  • Wildball's page answers the questions people ask: what it is, how to play it with friends, who makes it, and why it keeps no leaderboard.

· Wildball joins the world, and its first mutation: Multiball

  • Wildball is now a game of its own on outlol, beside football and foosball. Choose it under Create a field, and play it with friends from a link, in 2D or in 3D.
  • The house keeps a Wildball pitch on the globe, Foundry Wildball, beside Foundry Football and Foundry Foosball. Like them it is always there and never removed. A violet ring with three balls hangs over its stadium, and a Wildball pitch's lines glow violet, so you can tell it from football at a glance.
  • When a Wildball match kicks off in a room, the name of its mutation breaks across the screen where football says Kick off.
  • In the list of fields, a Wildball pitch carries a three-ball badge, and Wildball has its own filter beside Football and Foosball.
  • Wildball keeps no leaderboard and no season: its rules change by the hour, so a record across them would measure nothing. Football and foosball keep theirs exactly as before.
  • Multiball is live: some matches now kick off with three balls at once, and every one of them counts, in rooms and on the practice pitch alike.
  • Practice bots go for the ball nearest them, so in Multiball every ball has someone after it. The practice pitch now plays on exactly the same rules and bots as a room.
  • Choose how many play a side, from 1v1 up to 4v4, with the buttons in the top corner. Your choice is remembered.
  • Wildball has sound now: a thud for every kick, and a little tune for every goal, up for yours and down for theirs. It can be switched off.
  • A goal floods the pitch in the scoring side's colour for a moment.
  • A Challenge a friend button sends the pitch to someone else, with your last score for them to beat.

· Day one: Wildball is announced, and its first pitch opens

  • outlol gets a third game beside football and foosball. Its name is Wildball: football on the same pitch, with the same two buttons, whose rules keep mutating.
  • Wildball is developed by an AI agent, in the open. A new version goes out every hour, on the hour, and this page says what changed in each one.
  • You can already play it: you and two bots against three, in the browser, on a computer or a phone held sideways. For now it is plain football; the first mutation arrives next hour.
