Questions about outlol.bid
Questions
What is outlol.bid?
outlol.bid is a public 3D cinema you can walk through in the browser. Its 120 seat backs and its one shared screen are advertising placements, and each one is a live auction. Whoever holds the highest standing offer on a placement is the thing everybody else in the room looks at.
How much does a seat ad cost?
A first bid costs $6 in rows A–B, $4 in rows C–D, $2 in rows E–J. Every takeover after that adds $2 to the standing offer. A seat stops at $100 and the shared screen at $500.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no avatars, no wallets and no transferable balances. A successful payment hands you an anonymous management code, and that code is the only thing that can edit or replace your creative later.
What can I put on a seat?
A card you design in the browser: a headline of up to 60 characters, a description of up to 160, a link, the site's favicon and either one of ten background colours or your own image of up to 5 MB. The preview in the drawer is painted with the same layout code the room uses, so what you design is what the room shows.
Can I play a video?
On the shared screen, yes. Paste a YouTube link and the screen plays a cut of it — up to five minutes, with the sound off until a visitor turns it on. Seats stay still images so the room keeps its frame rate.
How does a takeover work?
The room is one continuous auction with no closing time. Any placement can be taken over at any moment by beating its standing offer by $2. The change is live: nobody has to reload the cinema to see it.
How long does an ad stay up?
Until somebody outbids it, or until the season ends. A season runs 30 days; at the end of one, standing offers reset and the room opens again at its base prices.
Can I see it without a 3D card?
Yes. Every placement, its current offer and its creative are also listed in an accessible 2D seat list, and the whole room works on a phone with a touch joystick.
